Ayron Jones Announces ‘Excuse Me’ Album and Releases ‘Glad You Came’
Ayron Jones is opening his next chapter with “Glad You Came,” the first single from Excuse Me. Announced October 23, the album is due February 26, 2027, via Thirty Tigers, with preorders and presaves now available.
The Seattle singer and guitarist recorded the project in Nashville with longtime collaborator Marti Frederiksen. The announcement points toward a heavier emphasis on the grunge and metal influences Jones grew up with, alongside the blues and soul that have shaped his playing and vocals.
Jones describes “Glad You Came” as a song about intense relationships, personal accountability and what people learn when a connection ends. A lyric video accompanies the release, giving listeners their first look at the new album’s direction.
Excuse Me contains 10 tracks, including “Strike of a Match,” “Hollywood,” “Freedom” and “Hang On.” Its themes include economic pressure, isolation and relationships—subjects Jones connects to his own experiences and the uncertainty facing working people.
For rock fans who followed Jones through Chronicles of the Kid, the announcement marks a new studio-album cycle after a three-year gap. The first single is available now, while the full record arrives early next year.
