U2 is heading back to stadiums in 2027. The band announced the opening six dates of The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour on October 15, pairing the tour reveal with a new song of the same name.

The tour begins February 23 at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City, followed by a second Mexico City performance February 26. U2 will then play Estádio MorumBIS in São Paulo on March 10 and 12 before closing the first announced run at Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires on March 23 and 25. Beck will support all six shows.

The dates mark U2’s first stadium performances since The Joshua Tree Tour concluded in Mumbai on December 15, 2019. The band said the new production is designed to bring human connection and intimacy into a stadium-scale spectacle, with material drawn from across its catalog.

“The Greatest Show On Earth” is also the third single from U2’s forthcoming 16th studio album, Carnaval De Luz, due November 13. The track was co-written by U2 and Brian Eno, and its Anton Corbijn-directed video was filmed in the California desert.

U2.com subscriber presales begin October 19 at 10 a.m. local time. General sales open October 22 for São Paulo and Buenos Aires and October 23 for Mexico City, each at 10 a.m. local time. The band says European and North American dates will be announced in the coming weeks, while an Ireland homecoming is also being developed.

The announcement arrives during U2’s 50th-anniversary year and gives the band’s next album cycle a major live component. The key detail for U.S. fans is that no North American dates have been confirmed yet—only that an announcement is planned.
