Drop Dead, Gorgeous Return With Powerful New EP Daggers
Post-hardcore veterans Drop Dead, Gorgeous have released their new six-song EP, Daggers, marking the next chapter in the band’s long-awaited return.
The new EP pushes the Denver band’s unmistakable sound forward without abandoning the chaos, emotion, and intensity that helped establish them as one of the defining acts of the mid-2000s post-hardcore scene.
Drummer Danny Cooper described Daggers as a progression rather than a reinvention. The band wanted to explore new territory while making its sound heavier, more dynamic, and more ambitious.
A Personal Tribute on “Feels Like Forever”
The emotional centerpiece of Daggers is the closing track, “Feels Like Forever.”
According to vocalist Daniel “Stills” Stillman, the song is a deeply personal tribute to former Drop Dead, Gorgeous guitarist Kyle Browning, who passed away far too soon.
“Feels Like Forever” explores the pain of losing a close friend, the conversations that never happened, and the difficult process of accepting a loss that never feels completely real. More than anything, the track serves as a remembrance of a friend, bandmate, and chapter of life that will never be forgotten.

The release brings together the singles that have powered the band’s comeback—including “Six Feet,” “Burn,” and “Sink Your Teeth”—alongside new material that expands on the band’s signature combination of aggression and vulnerability.
A New Chapter for Drop Dead, Gorgeous
Drop Dead, Gorgeous emerged from Denver in the mid-2000s with an emotionally charged take on post-hardcore. While still teenagers, the band released its 2006 debut album, In Vogue, through Rise Records.
The album’s mix of synth-driven breakdowns, theatrical intensity, and raw emotion helped make it a landmark release of the era. Follow-up records such as Worse Than a Fairy Tale and The Hot N’ Heavy further cemented the band’s place in the scene and influenced many of the acts that followed.
After a decade-long hiatus, core members Daniel “Stills” Stillman, Danny Cooper, and Jake Hansen reunited in 2024 for a series of surprise performances.
The band officially returned with new music in 2025, beginning with “Six Feet.” They followed it with “Burn” and closed out the year with “Sink Your Teeth.” Now, Daggers brings that renewed momentum together in one complete release.
