Archon Angel Announce ‘Beyond the Grave,’ Share Epic Title Track

Archon Angel, the melodic-metal project built around former Savatage vocalist Zak Stevens and guitarist, songwriter and producer Aldo Lonobile, will release its third studio album, Beyond the Grave, on December 11 through Frontiers Music Srl.

The band has also released the album’s title track with an official lyric video. “Beyond the Grave” leans into the group’s cinematic side, pairing heavy guitar work and orchestral textures with the commanding vocal style that made Stevens a defining voice in Savatage during the 1990s.

Stevens calls the record Archon Angel’s strongest effort so far, saying the band explored musical ideas and inspirations it had not previously attempted. That expansion is central to the album’s identity: the project began with an obvious connection to the Savatage legacy but has continued developing its own melodic, dramatic sound.

The 11-track album features Stevens on vocals, Lonobile on guitars and bass, Marco Lazzarini on drums, and Antonio Agate handling synthesizers, orchestration, piano and keyboard arrangements. The track list also includes “Bloodline,” “Chasing Demons,” “Darkest Hour,” “Ethereal,” “Asylum” and “My Crime.”

For fans of Savatage, Trans-Siberian Orchestra and modern European melodic metal, the announcement is significant because it gives Stevens another full-length vehicle for the theatrical, story-driven side of his voice. It also marks Archon Angel’s first studio album since II in 2023.
