Vindicta Sign With Napalm Records and Release “IDOL(L)S”
Vindicta have signed with Napalm Records and marked the deal with “IDOL(L)S,” a new single and official music video released October 22. It is the modern melodic metal band’s second single, giving listeners an early look at the project as it begins its next chapter with the label.
The band’s theatrical presentation pairs corpse paint and nun-inspired costumes with a developing narrative. In the announcement, Vindicta describe “IDOL(L)S” as part of a larger story intended for an upcoming album, using the idea of a puppet show to examine distraction, spectacle and false authority. An album title and release date were not announced.
The official release credits list Lilith on vocals, Rusalka and Lamia on guitars, Medea on bass and Kali on drums. Adrian Thessenvitz produced the track, with recording at Black Sails Studios and mixing and mastering by Jack Kosto.
The signing is a concrete step forward for a new act still introducing its sound. Napalm’s official Bandcamp catalog now carries the single, while the accompanying video is available through the label’s YouTube release.
