Enter Shikari Drop ‘Lightyears,’ Add January Shows Across the Southeast

Enter Shikari have released a surprise new single, “Lightyears,” on October 28, while adding four intimate U.S. headline shows in Florida, Georgia and Tennessee for January 2027.

The song takes its inspiration from frontman Rou Reynolds revisiting family camcorder recordings. In a statement accompanying the release, he described confronting memories of childhood, people who have died and places that no longer exist. That experience shaped a song about lost loved ones, earlier versions of himself and learning to treat himself with greater kindness.

“Lightyears” follows this month’s “Higher Ground,” keeping new music coming ahead of the band’s November European and UK touring. Fans can hear the track through Enter Shikari’s official listening hub.

For Southeast listeners, the newly announced U.S. dates offer four opportunities to catch the band: January 27 at Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale; January 28 at The Beacham in Orlando; January 29 at The Masquerade’s Heaven room in Atlanta; and January 30 at The Basement East in Nashville.

Artist presales began October 28. General ticket sales open Friday, October 30, at 10 a.m. local time for each show. The band’s official announcement directs fans to its mailing list for presale access.

The dates carry extra weight following Enter Shikari’s October 1 announcement that the group will become dormant as a recording and performing act on December 31, 2027. The band left open whether that pause could eventually end in a return or become permanent. These January shows should therefore be understood as confirmed appearances before that planned pause, without assuming a reunion or a final-ever performance.
