Al Jourgensen Names October 2027 Kia Forum Show as Ministry’s Farewell
Al Jourgensen has identified October 30, 2027, at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, as the planned final concert for Ministry, giving the industrial-metal band’s farewell a specific destination.
Jourgensen discussed the finale in an interview with Lyndsey Parker for Licorice Pizza Records, reported October 28 by Blabbermouth and ThePRP. He described an evening featuring guest appearances and musicians joining Ministry onstage, but the reports did not identify a confirmed guest lineup.
The date falls exactly one year after the October 30, 2026, release of Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery), which Ministry’s official website bills as its final studio album. Cleopatra Records is releasing the record, with longtime collaborator Paul Barker returning for the closing track, “We’re Still Here.”
The band’s official tour listings already include spring 2027 European shows with Die Krupps. Jourgensen’s new interview adds a proposed endpoint to that goodbye campaign, rather than announcing ticket availability for the California finale. No on-sale date or ticket link for the Kia Forum show was confirmed in the sources reviewed.
For fans, the distinction matters: Jourgensen has now named where and when he intends Ministry’s performing career to end, while the practical details of attending still need an official event announcement. Ministry’s website remains the place to follow confirmed touring information.
Ministry’s evolution from early electronic pop into abrasive, guitar-driven industrial music helped establish a lasting template for heavy bands. Records such as The Land of Rape and Honey and Psalm 69 remain central to that legacy. In the band’s current official biography, Jourgensen says he is satisfied with the career and intends to step away after the final tour.
