It’s going to be an epic night for a great cause Saturday, August 20th, 2022 at The Cannery Bar N’ Grill in Biloxi, MS, when six awesome bands come together for a Massive Night Of Rock to benefit Make-A-Wish Mississippi. There is no set admission price – donations at the door are requested and all of the money will go to Make-A-Wish and will specifically benefit children on the Mississippi Coast.
This event, presented by Massive Media, is being sponsored by The Sound 228, IN the PIT, Spade Image, “The Southern Flame” Dawn McIntyre, The Loud Spot With Sebastian, ROCK LAB TV, J. Eagle Audio, and Crescent City Gumbo. The excitement starts at 5:00pm CST. For those who can’t be there but would like to donate, the link can be found at the bottom of this story.
According to Matt Savner, who has been on the Board for Make-A-Wish Mississippi for five years, an average wish can cost anywhere between $7,000 and $12,000. The children who benefit are battling life-threatening illnesses, and most have to apply through their doctors. Wishes can include going on a special trip, such as Disney World, getting an RV, being a firefighter for a day, getting a generator so medical devices will continue to work in a power outage, getting a waterproof beach chair, or getting a puppy. There are currently over 50 children waiting for a wish. Savner says besides the wish itself, it's really all about the experience and having some unforgettable moments of pure happiness that makes a huge impact on the children and their families.
Rock lovers in attendance at this event will be treated to great music by six bands who are excited to be a part of this important cause. The bands include Saturate, Awaken The Giant, Relevant Saints, NVision, Project Nine, and The Blend. These bands are well known throughout the Gulf Coast rock music scene and no doubt will put on memorable performances on this special night.
