Kevin and I are constantly looking for new ways to promote independent artists and bands. It's the entire reason we created The Sound. We believe that there are tons of independent artists who are putting out amazing music that deserves to be heard. That's why we live stream our show twice a month on the Internet. We do it so we can hopefully expose you to a new band or artist that you hadn't heard before. We realized though that we needed a way to play that music more than just the two times a month when we live stream the show. We wanted a way that we could feature this music around the clock and it became very apparent to us that we needed our own radio station.
Since we're an Internet based show, we decided the best way to do that would be through our very own app. And that's exactly what we've done. The Sound 228 radio app is out now and available for download in the App Store and on Google play. This app will feature music from unsigned and independent artists 24/7 365. If you're tired of listening to the same old playlists and you're thirsty for some new rock, The Sound 228 radio app is just for you. Inside the app you'll be able to listen to all of the new artists we're featuring.
We've created some shows inside of the app like Loud and Local. This show will feature local bands from right here on the Gulf Coast. Good hair day is an hourlong show paying tribute to the best of 80s hair metal. Got you Covered is a show dedicated to cover songs performed by some of your favorite artists. We will constantly be adding new music and shows to the playlist. The Sound 228 radio app will also keep you in the loop with all of our social media feeds like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
