Soilwork have released “Night Whispers & Shining Lights,” a new single arriving October 21 as the Swedish metal band celebrates its 30th anniversary. Nuclear Blast confirmed the release while the group is touring Europe with Amon Amarth and Orbit Culture.

Vocalist Björn “Speed” Strid says the song had been in the band’s vaults for a couple of years. Its arrival gives the anniversary celebration a previously unreleased recording alongside the catalog retrospectives Soilwork have been sharing with fans.

The band describes the single as the close of one chapter and a thank-you to listeners before its next phase. That makes this a new release with a look toward what comes next, although the announcement does not provide a title or release date for a new album.

Soilwork’s current tour continues with Gothenburg on October 23 and Stockholm on October 24, followed by further European dates through Lisbon on November 15. Fans can hear the single now and follow the band’s official channels for future announcements.
