Matchbox Twenty Confirm August 5, 2027 Show at The Wharf With O.A.R.

Matchbox Twenty are officially headed to the Gulf Coast. The band will play The Wharf Amphitheater in Orange Beach, Alabama, on August 5, 2027, with special guests O.A.R., according to the venue’s newly released announcement.

The confirmation follows The Wharf’s recent “3AM” teaser, which paired an alarm clock with the words “…must be lonely.” Now the band, date and opening act are named, giving fans across coastal Alabama, Mississippi and the Florida Panhandle a summer concert to put on the calendar.

The Orange Beach stop is part of Matchbox Twenty’s newly announced 30th-anniversary tour. The itinerary also includes Brandon Amphitheater in Brandon, Mississippi, on August 4 with O.A.R., and Coca-Cola Amphitheater in Birmingham on May 15 with The All-American Rejects.

Matchbox Twenty’s catalog includes “3AM,” “Push,” “Real World,” “Bent” and “Unwell.” The anniversary run celebrates a career that began with the band’s 1996 debut, Yourself or Someone Like You, and brings those songs back to outdoor stages around North America.

General ticket sales for the tour are announced for Friday, October 23, 2026, at 10 a.m. local time, with presales beginning October 20. Fans should use the band’s official website and The Wharf’s authorized ticket links to confirm the Orange Beach sale schedule, pricing and availability.

Date note: The Wharf’s social announcement and concert artwork specify August 5, matching the published tour itinerary. The venue website’s event list displayed August 6 when checked. This report follows the dated announcement; check the ticket listing before booking travel.
