Earshot Cancel Tour Dates Following Abrupt Member Departure

Earshot have been forced to cancel the remainder of their current tour with Heartsick after a member unexpectedly left the band in the middle of the run.

The active-rock veterans announced the news in a statement shared September 23. Although Earshot did not identify the departing musician, the band confirmed that the sudden exit left it unable to continue performing with its current lineup.

Earshot attempted to locate a temporary replacement, but the band was unable to find someone suitable on such short notice.

“As a result, we are forced to cancel the remainder of our current tour dates with our friends Heartsick, effective immediately,” the band explained.

Earshot Apologize to Fans and Venues

Earshot acknowledged the disruption caused by the cancellations, including the effect on fans, venues, staff members and the other artists involved in the tour.

The band said it is already working on plans to return and make up the canceled performances when possible.

While most of the remaining tour has been canceled, Earshot is still exploring whether it can move forward with three previously scheduled appearances:

• October 1 — Sunshine Studios in Colorado Springs, Colorado

• October 3 — Rocktober Fest in Richfield, Utah

• October 5 — Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles, California

The status of those shows has not been finalized. Earshot said additional information would be released as soon as it becomes available.

Departure Comes During an Active Year for Earshot

The lineup change arrives while Earshot has been releasing new material and remaining active on the road.

The band released “Mistakes I Always Make” earlier in 2026 and followed it with “Love Left,” a deeply personal track influenced by the death of Soundgarden and Audioslave vocalist Chris Cornell.

Earshot emerged during the early-2000s post-grunge and alternative-metal explosion, reaching rock audiences through songs including “Get Away,” “Wait” and “Not Afraid.” The band’s combination of heavy guitars, emotional songwriting and melodic hooks has continued to connect with active-rock listeners.

It remains unclear whether the unidentified musician’s departure is permanent or how Earshot plans to restructure its lineup. For now, the immediate priority is finding a replacement and determining which upcoming performances can still move forward.
