Aerosmith Confirm Two-Night Live Return at Hollywood Bowl With All-Star Guests

Aerosmith Confirm Two-Night Live Return at Hollywood Bowl With The Black Crowes, Run-DMC, Heart, Slash and More Aerosmith are officially getting back onstage.
The rock legends will headline “California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends” at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Thursday, October 29, and Sunday, November 1, 2026. The two exclusive concerts will mark Aerosmith’s first announced public shows since the band stopped its Peace Out farewell tour after Steven Tyler fractured his larynx in September 2023.
This is not a new tour announcement. Promoters Live Nation-Hewitt Silva and Blackbird Presents are billing the event as two nights only, built around Aerosmith’s catalog and a rotating cast of major guests.
The announced lineup includes The Black Crowes, Run-DMC, Heart, Andrew Watt, Billy Idol, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Guns N’ Roses members Duff McKagan and Slash, Eric Church, Alice in Chains members Jerry Cantrell and Mike Inez, Marcus King, Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, Train frontman Pat Monahan, Sammy Hagar, Steve Stevens, Godsmack frontman Sully Erna, Tom Morello, Adam Wakeman, Audley Freed and Kenny Aronoff. Don Was will serve as music director.
The guest lineup will vary between the two concerts. Organizers say more artists, special guests and surprise appearances will be announced, while the final nightly lineups may not be confirmed until at or near showtime and remain subject to change.
Tickets and presales
Citi cardmembers get first access beginning Thursday, October 8, at 10 a.m. Pacific time. That presale runs through Friday, October 9, at 10 a.m. Pacific. Additional presales are scheduled ahead of the public on-sale Saturday, October 10, at 10 a.m. Pacific.
VIP upgrades will also be offered. Depending on the package, options can include access to an Aerosmith pre-show VIP lounge, a limited-edition Aerosmith jacket, an exclusive T-shirt, early venue entry and other benefits. Package contents vary.
Why this matters
Aerosmith announced in August 2024 that the band was retiring from touring because Tyler’s vocal injury prevented him from completing the rescheduled Peace Out run. The frontman has made several appearances since then, while Tyler and Joe Perry also returned to the studio for the 2025 Yungblud collaboration EP One More Time.
These Hollywood Bowl dates are therefore a major live comeback, but fans should keep the scope clear: Aerosmith have confirmed two concerts, not a broader tour. The announcement also does not provide a member-by-member performing lineup, so any assumptions about who will occupy every position onstage remain unconfirmed.
