AC/DC Postpone MetLife Stadium Concert Due to Severe Weather
AC/DC have postponed their September 25 concert at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, because of incoming severe weather.
The Power Up Tour stop—featuring The Pretty Reckless as special guests—has been rescheduled for Friday, October 2. The concert remains scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., with stadium parking opening at 2 p.m. and gates opening at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets purchased for the original date will be honored automatically on October 2. Ticket holders are also being contacted directly with additional information.
Weather Forces a Last-Minute Change
The postponement was announced Friday afternoon, approximately two and a half hours before MetLife Stadium’s gates were scheduled to open.
A powerful nor’easter is expected to bring heavy rain, damaging winds, coastal flooding and hazardous conditions across portions of New Jersey and the surrounding region. Officials have canceled multiple public events and urged residents to prepare for worsening weather.
The decision follows another weather-related disruption for AC/DC. The band’s September 16 Toronto concert was canceled after Rogers Stadium sustained significant damage during an earlier severe storm.
Power Up Tour Now Extends Into October
AC/DC’s MetLife performance is part of the group’s massive Power Up world tour, named after the band’s chart-topping 2020 album.
The tour began with AC/DC’s return at the Power Trip festival in California in 2023 and has since taken the band across stadiums on four continents.
AC/DC are still scheduled to perform at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Tuesday, September 29. No change to that concert has been announced.
Because the rescheduled MetLife show will now take place October 2, the New Jersey date is positioned to become the tour’s final scheduled performance.
